The ZfP is a founding member of the recently established network of proteomic labs in Munich (CLINSPECT-M) designated to address the medical need for mass spectrometry in neurological diseases. CLINSPECT-M is one of four clusters funded by the national ministry of knowledge and research (BMBF) in Germany to establish mass spectrometric methods in routine clinical applications. It is the goal of this cluster to generate robust and stable mass spectrometry methods to gain novel insights, uncover new biomarkers and aid clinical decision making for patients suffering from neurological disorders.
